BLÜM Floral is a local florist, offering services for every occasion.

"We opened the doors in September 2024, a week later, we competed in the UK Florist of the Year Live Final, and placed first. 

After months of training, planning and preparation we walked away with a national title which has given us an incredible boost as we launch BLÜM to the people of Bolsover.

I've invested everything into BLÜM, the aim being to become a staple in the town the continues to serve the community for years to come. I'm only 25 currently and couldn't imagine doing anything else as a career. When I saw the property come available I knew very quickly the potential of the space and by working alongside my neighbours in Bolsover, I hope to fulfil this potential.

We love working in collaboration with RETREAT - Yoga & Wellbeing - creating restorative hands on workshops. I'm currently working with other local businesses to see how their shop front could benefit from a floral 'facelift' bringing the highstreet to life, adding some more colour to the town. I talk to local groups, such as Womens Institute groups, gardening societies, college groups to talk about what I do, how I've turned something I love into a career, or how I go about designing work, teaching design principles or talking about my competitive experience."

Bolsover is a gorgeous town brimming with potential, surrounded by beautiful green space. The markets are clearly a big success and getting feedback from them and adapting them will only help them grow. Best kept secrets like Robins Return - full of so many treasures - and the coffee from the Courtyard Bistro gets me through the day. I try go to RETREAT every week for a class and its an amazing atmosphere full of lovely people.

I've worked in lots of flower shops across Sheffield, Chesterfield and further afield, but Bolsover has a real charm, the friendliness of the people mean I love going to work everyday, and I know I'm in good hands as long as I continue serve Bolsover."
