Bolsover Loop

Welcome to the Bolsover Loop. A 26-mile route through the distinctive landscapes where Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire meet.

 

This walking and cycling route connects towns and trails around the heart of Bolsover District. It runs through beautiful green spaces and  takes in areas rich in fascinating history.

 

You can follow the Loop in either direction, starting and finishing at any entry point and do as much or as little as you like.. You can even make a whole day of it, combining sections with some of the worthy detours mapped out here.

 

Prehistoric cave art. Former industrial sites turned thriving nature reserves. Characterful country houses. Public art paying tribute to a heritage to be proud of. You'll find all this and more within easy access of the Loop.

 

The route is almost entirely traffic free and follows publicly accessible footpaths, bridleways and quiet roads, with the Loop signs and way markers to guide you around the route.
