David Fish, Local Resident

As Town Crier for special events since 2003, David has seen firsthand how much this town has to offer, from its rich history at Bolsover Castle to the incredible community spirit that binds us all.

David has also had the pleasure of advising and encouraging visitors from around the world, sharing the beauty and charm of Bolsover with them.

Being part of a steering committee for the CVP replacement and serving as a governor in two schools in Bolsover, David has dedicated himself to helping young people, fostering education, and ensuring a bright future for the next generation. The local library is another fantastic resource, offering not only books but social events and health and economic support, helping people connect and thrive in this community.

We asked David to describe Bolsover in three words—welcoming, thriving, and inspiring. It offers countless opportunities for both its residents and visitors and David is proud to be part of this town and to contribute in any way he can to the local community’s growth and success.
