Esther Head, Holiday Inn South Normanton
Esther Head is proud to live and work in the Bolsover District, calling Pleasley home for over 12 years, and working at the Holiday Inn South Normanton, a key destination for both visitors and the local community.
Through her role, Esther is focused on connecting the hotel with the people of Bolsover, opening its doors for social events, collaborations, and local partnerships. She’s passionate about reaching out to the community, making the hotel feel like part of the town, not just a place to stay.
Esther is also a strong advocate for tourism in the Bolsover District. From beautiful trails at Pleasley Vale to historic buildings, venues, and vibrant local events, she’s constantly discovering new reasons why Bolsover is a brilliant place to live, work and visit.
With a focus on social media and local business networking, Esther is helping raise Bolsover’s profile far beyond the district—working with other organisations to spread the word nationally and attract more people to the area.
Her favourite local gem? Pleasley Vale, with its walking trails, old mill buildings, and outdoor activity centre—perfect for family time and exploring nature.
Esther describes herself as an excited and proud Bolsovian, always keen to show others what the area has to offer.
Her three words to describe Bolsover? Beautiful. Historic. Friendly.
“It’s a hidden gem of Derbyshire. The people and businesses here are proud, loyal, and love to talk about their love for Bolsover.”
