Katie Green, Tiny Tags

Mum of two Katie developed business, Tinytags, which provides a safe and secure way to put contact (and emergency information) on children and belongings. 

"All children are different, and parenting definitely has its challenges! My two kids couldn't be more opposite! One is a nature-loving explorer who gets completely lost in their own world (and wouldn't notice if they wandered out of the playground!). The other is a fearless climber who thinks they're Spiderman and wants to jump off of everything! Trying to keep track of both of them in busy places started to make me incredibly anxious. I started last December from my kitchen table with one product, since then I have expanded to 4 products and a small office space at home. My kids have benefited form seeing my small business grow. As a family we all benefit from the peace of mind that Tinytags brings for our own days out and adventures."

Tinytags are already helping families, including those in the SEN community. Katie is building a supportive community where parents can connect, and has expanded the product offering based on feedback from parents.

By providing products that enhance safety and peace of mind, Tinytags is contributing to an environment where people feel safe, secure and comfortable staying in Bolsover, particularly vulnerable individuals. 

"I have benefited from Bolsover start up grants and am incredibly grateful to have this opportunity to share my products with other families. I'm looking to build strong community networks and support local initiatives. My focus on developing innovative and user-centered products reflects the forward-thinking approach of the Bolsover Place Programme. I am always looking to improve and adapt my products and services. I want to contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the community, it s a wonderful place to visit and to live.

I love the idea of an Interactive Experience for all ages, incorporate interactive elements like QR codes with historical information or audio guides at points of interest. It would be nice to possibly have a visitor Information Center: A central hub with friendly staff, maps, brochures, and information about local events and businesses, maybe a calm or quiet space inside.

"As a family we love to visit the charity shops, skate park and Bolsover Castle. My husband meets at the Wetherspoons for cycling days out. I really like the coffee shops - and I used to spend a fortune in Sarah's material den!

It's a vibrant community with a rich history, a unique character and such promise!"
