The former Co-op premises
Location:
Town End, Bolsover, Chesterfield S44 6DT, UK
Budget Allocated:
£1,950,000
“Maximising opportunities for one of Bolsover’s most prominent building locations.”
Consultation is currently open on this site. The original investment plan reflected a plan to demolish the building but Bolsover District Council is now looking at whether this is the best option, or if regenerating the site would be preferable. Hoarding has been erected to keep the site safe following instances of trespassers accessing the site and causing damage. These measures will keep the building and residents safe while the consultation gets underway to ascertain the views of locals on the best future use of the building. This work will unlock the gateway in to and along Town End, through to the library, high street and onward to Bolsover Castle.
Bolsover District Council will own and have responsibility for the upkeep and future development of the site following project completion.
Proposed Completion Date:
March 2027
