45 minutes to improve the quality of your engagement with schools, special schools, and colleges, to help every young person find their best next step – welcome to the ‘Employer Standards’. Employers are approached repeatedly to provide careers input for young people, and with finite resources and capacity, it can be hard to know what to prioritise. Therefore, ‘Direct Education Business Partnership’ (DEBP CIO ) have been working with the ‘Careers and Enterprise Company’ to encourage employers across the EMCCA region to utilise the ‘Employer Standards for Careers Education’.

The framework guides you through a series of questions to generate a report about your involvement to date with careers support for young people, and future aspirations in this area; helping you to reflect on where you are working well and where there may be some areas for development and further consideration.

The self-assessment is about ensuring that not only can you be confident that your offer is meaningful for young people, but that it is also impactful for you as an employer.

Simply register your interest here: Employer Standards - tell me more and a colleague from DEBP will be in touch to answer any questions you may have.

Alternatively, follow this link to undertake the self-assessment: CEC Employer Standards - DEBP  or scan below.

We want Bolsover businesses to join over 1,400 employers who have already used the framework to ensure that the support they offer, aligns with their business objectives.
