As we approach the one-year anniversary of the Bolsover Place Programme, we’re inviting the community to help us celebrate by recognising the people and organisations that have made a real difference.
Over the past 12 months, we've seen powerful collaborations across arts, culture, heritage, tourism, and place-based projects, all working together to unlock Bolsover's potential.
Now, it’s your turn to shine a light on those who have helped make that happen.
Two Awards. One Community Voice.
We’re launching two public-nominated awards, and we want to hear from you:
The Putting Bolsover on the Map Award [Discover Category]
This public-voted award honours an individual, event, or initiative that has significantly raised the profile of Bolsover, attracting attention and visitors to the area. It celebrates efforts in showcasing Bolsover’s unique offerings.
Criteria:
Significant media coverage or recognition
Increased visitor numbers or interest in Bolsover
Creative and effective promotion of Bolsover’s assets
Sustained impact on Bolsover’s reputation
The Heart of the Community Award [Belong Category]
This public-voted award honours an individual, group, or organisation that has made a significant and lasting impact on the Bolsover community. It celebrates those who have gone above and beyond to support and uplift others.
Criteria:
Demonstrated dedication to community service
Positive influence on local residents
Initiatives that promote inclusivity and well-being
Sustained commitment over time
Nominate Now — It Takes Less Than 5 Minutes
Nominations are open to everyone. The nominee does not need to be part of the Place Programme. You’ll simply be asked to share who you’re nominating and a short sentence on why they deserve to be recognised.

Nominations for these two awards close on Wednesday 2nd July 2025 at 5pm.
In addition to the public vote categories, a number of awards will also be presented by the Bolsover Place Board to recognise outstanding contributions across the district.

The Arts and Culture Award
Winners Announced at Our Anniversary Celebration
Join us on Thursday 10th July as we mark the first year of the Bolsover Place Programme — a celebration of progress, partnerships, and the people who make it all possible.
Event details:
Date: Thursday 10th July
Time: 4pm – 7pm (with guided walks of the regeneration sites from 3pm)
Location: George Bratt Room (upstairs), Bolsover Assembly Rooms
The event will include award presentations, campaign launches, networking, and refreshments.
