1. Creswell Crags Adventure Walk

3. Bolsover Castle Outer Grounds

No ticket needed — enjoy sweeping views, magical castle atmosphere and grassy slopes ideal for kids to run wild while you soak in the skyline.


4. Extreme Wheels Roadshow

Extreme Wheels is rolling out a summer of adrenaline‑packed fun. Free activities for ages 9+ include skatepark sessions, KMX, Laser Tag, Drift Bikes and Body Zorbing.

Clowne, Shirebrook, South Normanton, Whitwell and Pinxton all boast fantastic parks with play areas, skate ramps and wide‑open fields. Perfect for football, frisbee or a chilled family picnic.

 

6. Nature Spotting at Poulter Country Park or Carr Vale

Explore ponds, sculptures and wide‑open spaces in these beautiful reclaimed landscapes. They’re great for spotting bees, birds and butterflies — ideal for a slow, sunny afternoon outdoors.

 

7. Margaret Cavendish’s MindFest

Step into the imaginative world of Margaret Cavendish at Bolsover Castle. Enjoy hands‑on creative workshops, STEAM activities and family demonstrations.
