A new exhibition, ‘Teeth’, is opening at Creswell Crags this autumn. Created by artist Lucy Stevens and inspired by the site’s mammal teeth collection, this free family-friendly exhibition will run from 11 October 2025 until 28 June 2026.

Lucy Stevens has used colourful mixed media techniques to bring the fascinating forms of mammal teeth to life. By drawing on colour coding and classification systems, she interprets the differences in incisors, canines, molars, and premolars across species.
Her work transforms these scientific details into imaginative artworks that reflect feeding, hunting, and migration, with totemic shapes symbolising protection, magic, and life’s cycles.
The result is a bold and thought-provoking exhibition where art meets natural history. Families, art lovers, and anyone with a curiosity about the natural world are invited to discover this unique interpretation of the Creswell Crags collection.
The free exhibition will run until 28 June 2026.
