The Bolsover Loop is a 26-mile walking, wheeling and cycling route that connects the towns, villages, countryside and heritage attractions across Bolsover District. Created to help people explore more of what's on their doorstep, the route showcases some of the area's most beautiful landscapes, historic sites and local communities while encouraging active travel and healthy lifestyles.
Whether you're a regular walker, keen cyclist, occasional explorer or simply looking for somewhere new to enjoy with family and friends, the Bolsover Loop offers countless opportunities to discover the district at your own pace.

SAVE THE DATE: The Big Bolsover Loop Week, 21–27 September 2026
This September, we're inviting residents, businesses, schools, community groups and organisations to take part in The Big Bolsover Loop Week.
The week is designed to celebrate the Bolsover Loop and encourage more people to get outdoors, be active and discover the places, people and stories that make our district unique. It is not about completing all 26 miles. Instead, it's about taking part in whatever way works for you – exploring a local section, enjoying a short walk with colleagues, cycling with family or simply trying a route you've never visited before.
By encouraging more people to use the Loop, we're helping to support healthier lifestyles, stronger communities and a greater appreciation of the fantastic countryside, heritage and green spaces that surround us.

In early September we'll be sharing further information and resources.
Why not organise a walking meeting, lunchtime stroll, family cycle ride or community walk? Every activity, big or small, helps encourage people to experience the Loop and enjoy the benefits of being active outdoors.
Together, we can help more people discover the Bolsover Loop, connect with nature and enjoy everything our district has to offer while building a healthier, more active and better-connected Bolsover.
