Derbyshire Makes Bolsover (Sat 16 May 2026 10:00am - 3:00pm) brings the town centre to life with a packed day of art, making and performance for everyone to enjoy and take part in. From live music, film, dance, spoken word and poetry to floristry, lantern-making and hands-on heritage activities, the programme showcases the incredible makers and creators of Bolsover.
A spectacular highlight is Parade – The Giant Wheel, a powerful moving performance travelling from Bolsover’s cenotaph to the castle, featuring a 12-foot Giant Wheel, live music, street artists and a large community cast of local performers. Join in with creative workshops, explore exhibitions, support young traders at the Teenage Market, enjoy live music and connect with local history through English Heritage activities.
Be sure not to miss the annual Bolsover Festival of the Arts at Bolsover Castle – a celebration of creativity featuring live music, spoken word, dance, art installations and artisan markets.
