GRANTS OF UP TO £10,000 AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY-ENHANCING PROJECTS

Local residents, groups, businesses and organisations are being encouraged to apply for grants of between £500 and £10,000 to create lasting assets across the Bolsover district.
Bolsover District Council’s Community and Place grant programme is a capital funding initiative backed by a £15 million investment from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.
It provides capital grants from £500 up to £10,000 for adults and up to £500 for 16 to 18-year-olds to build lasting community assets that make a real difference to residents, businesses and visitors to the district, through to Spring 2028.
The local authority wants to hear from anyone whose ideas include improving a community space, creating a new local asset, enhancing a park, playground or village hall, celebrating local heritage or creating something completely new.
Councillor Tom Munro, the local authority’s portfolio holder for Growth, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for local people and businesses to apply for funding that could really get their projects off the ground.
“It’s particularly refreshing that funding is available to 16 to 18-year-olds to help provide a kick-start with their ambitions.
“We’re especially looking to fund schemes which will last and benefit future generations, help strengthen communities, build local pride and enhance our district.”
Three rounds of funding are available up until Spring 2028.
